Lombard International, a global leader in insurance-based wealth structuring solutions for high net worth individuals, families and institutions, has announced that Florent Albert has been promoted to Global Chief Financial Officer and that Rui Pinto has joined the business as Chief Financial Officer for Europe.
Mr. Albert will report directly to John Hillman, Group Chief Executive and Mr. Pinto will report to Axel Hörger, CEO Europe, as well as to Florent Albert.
Rui Pinto’s appointment comes as Lombard International seeks to further consolidate its leading position in the European insurance-based wealth solutions market. Mr. Pinto will join the European leadership team and oversee all day-to-day financial operations of the European business, leading the financial reporting to management, shareholders and regulators while ensuring efficient risk control.
The appointment will allow Florent Albert to focus on the firm’s global financial operations and growth plans.

Mr. Pinto joined from iptiQ Life SA in Luxembourg, a Swiss-Re company, where he held the position of CFO. Prior to this he spent almost a decade with Swiss Life Global Solutions, most notably as Head of Finance. He began his career at PwC Luxembourg.
