Lombard International Assurance S.A., the European leader in wealth and succession planning solutions for high net worth individuals, families and institutions, announces the appointment of Florent Albert as Managing Director Europe, in addition to his existing role of Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Following Stuart Parkinson’s appointment as Lombard International Group’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on 1 April 2020, Mr Albert’s appointment reinforces the Group’s governance in supporting its ambitious growth plans as it continues to strengthen its leadership position in Europe and beyond.

With over 20 years of experience in the financial services and insurance sector, Florent will lead Lombard International Assurance’s strategic and tactical agenda in Europe. He joined the company in 2015 as CFO Europe, before being appointed Group CFO in August 2019.

About Florent Albert, Managing Director Europe and Group CFO

Florent Albert joined Lombard International Assurance in 2015. He is currently Managing Director Europe and Group Chief Financial Officer, and has over 20 years of experience in Financial Services. He is also a Member of the Board of the Association of Luxembourg Insurers, of which he was Vice-Chairman of the International Life Commission from 2016 to 2020.

Mr Albert started his career in M&A at Continentale d'Entreprises (Artemis Group). He then joined the GE Group where he held various leadership roles in the US and Europe, including CFO and Managing Director positions in the Group's Financial Services division. After GE, Florent Albert joined RSA Insurance in London as Group FP&A Manager and then MetLife France, based in Paris, as CFO and ERM Director.

Mr. Albert holds a MSc in Economics and Corporate Finance from the University of Bordeaux, a MPhil in Industrial Organization and Labour Economics from Toulouse School of Economics, and a MSc in Strategic Management from HEC Paris. Mr. Albert is also a Financial Management Programme Graduate from GE Capital in the US and a certified Lean Six Sigma expert.
