With 272 active members, a majority of which are full members, LPEA plays a leading role in actively promoting private equity and venture capital in Luxembourg. As a full member, Lombard International Assurance will actively participate in events and thought leadership initiatives, aimed at enhancing and promoting Luxembourg’s attractiveness and competitiveness in the industry.

Jurgen Vanhoenacker, Executive Director of Business Development and Wealth Structuring will be Rajaa Mekouar’s next guest speaker, as part of LPEA’s anniversary live video series ‘10 years, 10 minutes’, which includes contributions from various Luxembourg’s financial services leaders. This live chat will be showcased via Zoom on 18 June 5pm [1] and a replay version will be posted on LinkedIn.

Jurgen Vanhoenacker commented: ‘In recent years, we have seen a surge in our clients’ appetite for non-traditional assets, such as private equity. With low or negative interest rates likely to be in place for the next few years, investors are seeking to diversify their portfolios and generate more yield. I am delighted that we have joined the LPEA, supporting all their great work. I’m honoured to be Rajaa’s next guest on 18 June, as part of their ‘10 years, 10 minutes’ series, to discuss industry trends and how private equity, wealth planning and unit-linked life insurance can be a winning combination’.

Rajaa Mekouar, LPEA’s CEO added: ’We’re delighted to welcome Lombard International Assurance as a full member. The company is a key player in its sector, across Europe and beyond, and actively promotes the integration of PE in its insurance portfolios. This is aligned to our mission of promoting the attractiveness of Luxembourg as an international hub for transacting PE business and servicing the PE industry in all of its dimensions.’
