Lombard International Group, a global leader in insurance-based wealth, estate and succession planning solutions for high net worth individuals, families and institutions, today announced that the business has been awarded the ISO 27701:2019 certification for their Privacy Information Management System (PIMS).

This accreditation is an extension to the ISO 27001:2013 certification that the Group received in 2017 for their Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It further acknowledges strong data security and privacy processes, whilst demonstrating accountability and compliance to regulators and stakeholders with regards to the GDPR.

ISO 27001 and 27701 are internationally recognised standards for which organisations must have best practice in establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually enhancing information security and data privacy procedures.

In receiving this certification, the Group continues to demonstrate its ability to effectively safeguard its own and client data, whilst ensuring that the business is fortified against any potential operational impact. The certification further recognises that the Group’s data security and privacy processes are formally in place and continuously upgraded.

Stuart Parkinson, Group CEO, commented: ‘Receiving this ISO certification is testament to Lombard International Group’s unwavering commitment to a culture of security. It is particularly meaningful and important to have secured this accreditation in a world with remote working, increasing digital capabilities and virtual business practices bringing data security and privacy considerations to the fore. This certification offers reassurance that our clients' and partners’ data is as valued and protected as their assets.’
