Lombard International Group (“The Group”), a market leader in insurance-based wealth, estate and succession planning solutions for upper affluent, high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, families and institutions, has established a new distribution entity in Germany (subject to regulatory approval) and will be led by seasoned sector professional, Gerhard Schurer.
The Group has been active in the German market since 1994 and the new distribution entity, based out of Munich, will serve banks, asset managers, family offices, broker pools and independent agents across Germany under the name LIG Vermögensplanung.
Newly appointed Managing Director, Gerhard Schurer, has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance, banking and asset management sectors. He joins from Lloyds Fonds AG and has previously held senior management positions at Amundi Asset Management, Pioneer Investments and Fondsdepot Bank, as well as Generali International and Canada Life in the insurance sector.
