Lombard International Assurance, a leading European provider of cross-border insurance-based wealth, estate and succession planning solutions for high net worth individuals, families and institutions, recently donated financial aid to Stëmm vun der Strooss, supporting the association's new project in Sanem: Caddy 2. This donation results from the recycling and sale of former IT equipment to the company’s employees.

The Caddy workshop currently employs 22 people who process and redistribute 125 tons of food collected from Auchan every year. This new project will improve food recycling (from 125 to 500 tons of food recycled annually), bring 90 people back into employment and distribute more meals to vulnerable people in the Stëmm's restaurants and to third party associations.

Florent Albert, Managing Director Europe & Group CFO of Lombard International, commented: ‘As a leading organisation, we have a social responsibility to care about our footprint and impact. Corporate Citizenship is our active approach to ensuring we have a positive impact in the communities in which we work and operate. I am proud of this new partnership with Stëmm vun der Strooss to support their meaningful Caddy 2. project in Luxembourg.’

Alexandra Oxacelay and Arnaud Watelet of Stëmm vun der Strooss, added: ‘We thank Lombard International Assurance and its employees for their generous support. Their donation made a direct impact on local communities in Luxembourg by supporting the construction of our new building in Sanem. This project is sustainable, innovative and local as it fights against food waste and poverty, and at the same time promotes solidarity whilst providing a job to disadvantaged populations.”
